Work is worship which gives back earnings.

Someone's unwanted weeds turns out to be bread and butter for another. A neighbour's compound got overgrown with this particular grass and the lady of the house asked her neighbour to help her clear out her compund. This lady carefully uproots each strand of the grass with the help of another lady after which they tied each handful into delicate brooms which can be used in sweeping traditional village kitchens. The brooms got sold and these ladies earned for the day. This photo is taken in Amingaon, Guwahati in the state of Assam in India. Bodo women are very hardworking and contribute a lot in the running of their household.
